The author's bright, cheery illustrations help to convey Ducky's upbeat disposition in spite of his many mishaps. This sweet, simple story carries a much deeper message that even though unpleasant things happen to all of us, having a positive outlook, and the support of friends, can help us make lemons into lemonade. VERDICT A very pleasing addition to most picture book collections.
